Providence continues to deliver on its focus of building a happy, healthy community by hosting Pilates classes every week.
Thought of as the ‘powerhouse’ for the body, Pilates is a core focused physical fitness system that was designed to build strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, rather than on bulking and shortening the muscles.
The classes will be hosted by qualified fitness professional Donna Dobbs, who not only specialises in Pilates instruction but also Zumba, Aqua Zumba and Wellness Coaching.
“After completing my formal qualifications, training under the Commonwealth Society of Teaching Dance, I developed an incredible passion to teach fitness classes. Throughout my 20 years of teaching, I can see that dance and fitness can o er not only physical but social and creative bene ts to all ages,” Donna said.
A lifestyle ‘all-rounder’ Donna also holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts, and has completed many short courses in health, fitness, and wellbeing.
With a focus on fun, all classes are designed to increase fitness, flexibility and co-ordination within the picturesque setting of Providence.
The classes take place every Monday at the Providence Centre from 6.30pm – 7.30pm. At $7 per person, every class is suited to beginners and intermediates who have their own yoga mat and drink bottle.Back to News Listing
